into cup contention very shortly. Besides. it's Lindy Ruff and Ryan Miller
that matter most

Toronto is living proof that over-paying gets you nowhere. How much cap
room will the Laughs have the next couple of years?

It was amusing watching a bunch of Laffs fans invading the tavern
where I was watching the MSU-Boston College national championship
game, whining that the -alleged- "Biggest Game In The History of
Hockey" between Montreal and Toronteaux deserved to get higher billing
than the MSU-BC game (at a Michigan State affiliated bar,
nonetheless).

I tried to tell them that if either of those teams made the playoffs,
they were merely playing for the right to get swept in round 1 by the
Sabres. They really didn't take that very well, but you know, the
truth hurts, eh?
